We’ve seen the two Nike divisions collaborate together in the past, most commonly on the Air Jordan 1, a silhouette that has deep ties within skateboarding culture. The last time we saw them team up was on the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 High “LA to Chicago”, a shoe that slowly transitioned into the Chicago Bulls colourway the more you skated in them. We expect the same level of storytelling on this Air Jordan 4 release and we know sneakerheads have got high hopes too. An off-white leather is used for the majority of the upper on this pair. Underfoot you’ve got a sneakerhead staple with the gum outsole, a feature you can spot on a number of different SB Dunks. On the heel, find a Nike SB logo instead of the usual Jumpman or Nike Air, which is a first for the AJ4. Another major change arrives in the form of the suede toe, a detail introduced thanks to its skate-friendly ability to withstand wear against scrapes and snags.
