Drakes OVO brand has become a wold recognised label thanks to last years collaboration alongside Nike. Picking up where they left off, the duo is back with yet another stylish release. Garments from Octobers Very Own showcase a refined simplicity that puts all emphasis on the premium choice of materials. That ethos is brought forward for their collaborative footwear. The OVO x Nike Jordan 8 Black showcases a soft leather upper with shadowy suede sat underneath. The only contrast to that understated theme is the hits of luxurious gold which are stamped to the tongue, sidewall plate and inner lining. A Jumpman logo in red adds some vibrancy across the tongue. The Jordan 8 OVO Black is finished off with owl insignia to the sole bed, the logo now synonymous with the OVO brand. Whenever Supreme and Nike get together, its a big deal. The two brands pushed things even further for Supreme's spring/summer 2018 collection by teaming up with the NBA on officially licensed footwear and apparel. The Supreme x NBA x Nike Air Force 1 Mid was the standout piece of the collection. The sneaker features an all-over print of NBA team logos that is reminiscent of early 2000s streetwear. This limited-edition trainer releases alongside several other designs as part of the Air Max Day celebrations. This annual event takes place in March, now recognised as one of the biggest months in the calendar for sneakerheads. It was during last years Air Max Day that fans of the Air Max were given the chance to vote for their favourite RevolutionAir. Several artists put their design forward but it was LA-based Sean Wotherspoon who won with his interpretation of a sole-swapped Air Max 1/ 97. The future of Air looks seriously appealing with the corduroy upper, featuring in an array of different colourways. Light yellow is contrasted by grey, pink and blue before a dark green coloured mudguard circles the shoe.
