The KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low ‘Team Red’ brings together two masters from the worlds of fashion and contemporary art. Chitose Abe calls on KAWS to create a custom colourway of sacai’s signature doubled-up design, featuring contrasting hues inspired by the artist’s ‘URGE’ series. The low-top carries a dark red leather upper with double laces and two exposed foam tongues. Stacked eyestays are rendered in red suede and yellow leather, while layered Swooshes arrive in coral suede and teal leather. The multicolour assemblage is offset by a white rubber midsole, featuring overlapping layers and KAWS’ debossed ‘XX’ on the lateral forefoot.

The KAWS x sacai x Nike Blazer Low ‘Neptune Blue’ is drawn from a four-piece collaboration that mingles the creative visions of Chitose Abe and Brian Donnelly. Better known as KAWS, the artist updates sacai’s reconstructed Blazer with contrasting hues inspired by his ‘URGE’ series. The aqua-colored leather upper is accented with doubled-up eyestays and Swooshes, the latter components rendered in powder blue and yellow. KAWS’ signature ‘XX’ motif is debossed on the white rubber midsole, featuring multiple overlapping layers that wrap around the sneaker’s heel.

The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Rush Maroon’ delivers the Amsterdam retailer’s remixed take on the vintage running shoe from 1987. The upper is composed of silver mesh with contrasting maroon leather overlays, including a wavy mudguard marked with an embroidered mini-Swoosh on the lateral side. Nike Air branding on the heel overlay is rendered in orange lettering, matching the sneaker’s upper eyelets and textile collar lining. Patta’s script logo decorates the woven tongue tag. Lightweight cushioning is provided by an off-white polyurethane midsole with a visible Air unit nestled under the heel.

This Off-White x Nike Dunk Low is taken from the ‘Dear Summer’ collection, a sprawling follow-up to Virgil Abloh’s first Nike Dunk collaboration from 2019. The low-top makes use of a white leather upper with soft grey canvas overlays, along with Virgil Abloh’s calling-card flourishes, which include a plastic zip tie and printed Helvetica text. Contrasting pops of color arrive via the sneaker’s secondary lacing system, zip-tie, an exposed-foam tongue and a rectangular tab affixed to the Swoosh. Limited to fifty pairs, a ’26 of 50’ badge is affixed on the lateral midsole.

The Nike Dunk High High ‘Aluminum’ takes inspiration from Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina, with a similarly minded two-tone color palette. The white leather upper features Aluminum overlays across the Swoosh, toe box, quarter and collar. The theme continues through to the light blue tongue branding and color-blocked sole unit. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Swedish retailer’s first store, the Sneakersnstuff x Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Past, Present, Future' is drawn from a collection using three different Jordan silhouettes. Like its counterparts, this pair takes inspiration from that first SNS location, featuring an Off-White leather build with grey distressed nubuck on the toe box, heel overlay and Swoosh. Contrasting pops of Gym Red appear on the collar and Jordan Wings logo.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro SE ‘What The’ celebrates the 30th anniversary of the classic silhouette with a mashup design incorporating elements from coveted Air Jordan 5s of years past. Most notably, the right shoe features the yellow suede upper of the ultra-limited ‘Tokyo’ release, complete with stylized ‘23’ on the lateral heel. The left shoe borrows the red suede upper of the ‘Raging Bull’ pack, accented with the ‘Shanghai’ heel emblem. Additional source colourways include the ‘Bel-Air,’ ‘Laser’ and ‘Quai 54’ from 2011.

Released in July of 2016, the Air Jordan 5 OG ‘Metallic’ 2016 offers a remastered version of the OG colourway released back in 1990. A faithful reproduction of the original design, the sneaker features a Black nubuck upper with a reflective 3M tongue, Fire Red accents, an icy Blue outsole, and a ‘Nike Air’ logo on the heel. The Air Jordan 5 OG ‘Metallic’ sneaker was retro released in 2000, 2007, 2011, and now 2016.

The Air Jordan 4 Winter is a rugged reboot of the iconic sneaker to tackle cold temperatures. Released in December 2019, this edition is created with a Loyal Blue nubuck upper, laser-cut insets and a rubberized tongue. Bold red fleece insulates the interior. Signature tooling includes contrast lace wings, a tonal TPU heel panel and custom tongue tag. The Air-encapsulating midsole and herringbone rubber outsole return for support and traction.

Revealed in December 2019, the Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro SP from the 'Animal' pack is a wild spin on the hoops icon. The sneaker presents an upper covered in black pony hair flaunting leopard-print panels, zebra stripe detailing and 'Instinct' under the tongue. A color-pop Jumpman to the tongue and bright heel tab play up the bold aesthetic. Set below the Air-imbued midsole, a gum rubber outsole wraps up the design.

The sacai x CLOT x Nike LDWaffle ‘Kiss Of Death 2’ delivers a triple-threat collaboration centered around a hybrid silhouette that blends design notes from the LDV and the Waffle Racer. Inspired by CLOT’s Air Max 1 release from 2013, the sneaker showcases neutral grey tones throughout an upper crafted from semi-translucent mesh with fused synthetic overlays. Nike x sacai x CLOT branding is stamped on the leather heel tab, while woven Nike tags decorate doubled-up nylon tongues in grey and green. The sneaker is perched atop a double-stacked foam midsole, reinforced underfoot by a waffle-traction gum rubber outsole.

Limited to just 12,000 pairs, the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG SP ‘Chicago’ draws inspiration from a moment in NBA history dubbed ‘the freezeout’: in 1985, playing in his first ever All-Star Game, MJ was reportedly denied the ball by established stars who wanted to embarrass the brash rookie. Marcus Jordan’s sneaker boutique dresses the high-top in an OG-inspired palette, featuring white leather base with a black Swoosh and red leather overlays in a subtle frozen finish. MJ’s signature is scrawled across the lateral heel, while a dual-branded patch adorns the sockliner. The sneaker’s tooling pairs a vintage off-white midsole with an icy translucent rubber outsole.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Bordeaux’ dresses the archetypal silhouette in a white leather upper with vinous leather overlays at the forefoot, heel and collar. Similar to the CO.JP ‘Midnight Navy’ colourway, the sneaker is accented with a metallic silver Swoosh and a jeweled Wings logo on the lateral ankle. A woven Nike Air tongue tag atop the lightly padded nylon tongue delivers an OG touch. A traditional two-tone AJ1 cupsole packs encapsulated Nike Air cushioning under the heel.

Made for big kids, the Air Jordan 1 Mid GS ‘Shadow’ features a neutral two-tone palette with contrasting color-popped accents. The all-leather upper pairs a Particle Grey base with black overlays along the forefoot and heel. The sneaker’s branding elements, including a Wings logo stamped on the lateral collar and a Jumpman icon atop the woven tongue tag, appear in a vibrant Gym Red hue. Lightweight cushioning is provided by a rubber cupsole with an encapsulated Air-sole unit nestled under the heel. Made in partnership with the progressive Japanese fashion label, the Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle ‘Black White’ repeats many of the design tropes introduced on the brands’ LDV Waffle collaboration from 2019. They include doubled tongues, doubled Swooshes and a stacked midsole, updated here with split construction at the heel. Up top, open off-white mesh is fortified with tonal suede overlays and a red leather heel tab marked with dual Nike and Sacai branding.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN ‘Bright Cyan’ makes use of a lightweight polyester upper, secured with no-tie bungee laces and finished in a vibrant aqua hue. No-sew overlays provide lightweight durability and support, while reflective detailing offers added visibility in low-light conditions. The sneaker’s signature ‘700’ branding adorns the lateral side. Responsive cushioning arrives via sculpted PU midsole, housing full-length Boost cushioning within and reinforced with a herringbone-tread outsole underfoot.

Nike and Sacai’s partnerships usually take inspiration from the classics, though the result is always way, way bolder. And the latest from the two is no different, either, with the iconic Blazer the shoe of choice again. This orange and white version is cut down, though, but the Swooshes, laces and exposed foam tongues are all doubled, just like they were in 2019. The sole demands just as much attention, too — it’s misaligned, layered and exaggerated to nod to Chitose Abe’s love of the avant-garde.
